I recently switched back to shooting RAW over Jpeg. Shooting flash, it really does make more sense. Sometimes you just gotta fix a blow out. But shooting a Fuji I know that people will probably give me shit. But the truth is, I don’t really care anymore about the film simulations. It was cool in the beginning but I really just want a clean photo with lush color.

For the longest time I’ve been trying to figure out why my cameras just seem to look noticeably different. Almost like the photo was aggressively processed before. I just wanted them to be soft and clean. And so many cameras, newer or older seem to be able to do it.

So I’ve simplified everything. I make sure to build as perfectly as possible in the camera. Upload, change my color profile to Adobe Vivid and turn the default +40 sharpening down to 0. And it’s honestly exactly what I was looking for. This is right out of the camera. A Fuji x100f. And a Godox V350f flash. And uploaded to those two settings.

It’s perfect.

Wait, I didn’t realize I do portraits too.

*Its breakfast if it has an egg, right?*

One of my favorite things in the world has always been instant ramen. Especially when I have very little in my apartment sometimes.

All it takes is an egg, a little patience, and a pack of noodles.

-shot on Fujifilm XF10.
